____Mandorla is a short animated film based on Carl G. Jung's theory of "The Shadow" and the psychological concept of the "Mandorla". It tells the story of Marcos, a young man who, after being left by his girlfriend, discovers his very true self by confronting his darkest and deepest thoughts represented by an evil, yet familiar, mythological creature: his "Shadow".
In the realm of this depressive moment, Marcos stares at his reflection and steps into the "Mandorla", a moment in which the tension of opposites is long enough for something new to emerge. His reflection detaches from him and starts to behave differently creating an uncanny moment in which his reflection morphs into his "Shadow". This evil creature takes Marcos into a world greater than the sum of its parts, opening windows of possibility, discovery and creativity: his unconscious
